Dr. Slothclaw Featuring Guests Goose
With unauthorized permission to funk your soul, and melt your face, Dr. Slothclaw has ripped apart music as its known today with soaring jams and awe inspiring funky grooves. For the past three years this outrageous on-stage phenomenon has captivated audiences with their improv filled sets and lyrical shenanigans. Usually attracting an army of swaying bodies, this South Central Pennsylvania Funk/Jam quintet has been gaining the attention of promoters, venues, and people in the Tri-State area that Dr. Slothclaw has burst into.
Stealing shows, and leaving audiences with thick melodies stuck in their head, is quite the norm for this up and coming Funk/Jam band. Fellow musicians and fans alike agree that this in your face, no holds barred, anything goes outlook in their music truly sets the boys of Dr. Slothclaw apart from all the rest. Blending their always funky grooves with a Pink Floyd Psychedelic feel, and a Zappa-esque approach to writing, Dr. Slothclaw has created a completely new and original sound during these times of musical monotony. Utilizing funk, jazz, blues, rock, bluegrass, and even noise into their songs gives a well rounded fresh experience in most of their music. Creating oddball characters and packing their songs full of innuendo, they take the stage in a blaze of guitar shrieking glory and proceed to unleash their funky ways upon any unsuspecting listener. They’ve shared the stage with such acts as; Bobby Lee Rodgers (who actually joined in on the funk), Papa Mali, Leftover Salmon, Natural Breakdown, Jazzaam, The Waterband, Cabinet, and many more regional and of course local acts.
Do not pass on any chance to see this inspiring, young band that feels no need to conform to anyone’s “taste” of music, but instead blazes a path for themselves through the jungle that is the music industry
